He is married with three daughters and a son and lives in historic Uptown Lexington. Doris Carol Cox, 81, died on November 27, 2022 at Abbotts Creek Nursing and Rehab. She was born December 8, 1940 in Atlantic City, NJ to Joseph Campbell and Henrietta Garrison Campbell. Doris was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, Thomas Herring , Charles Cox, sister Eugenia Stiltner, brothers, Joseph Campbell, and Ronald Campbell.
In 2014 Matthew received his NC Funeral Directors Licenses. In addition to serving families, Matthew has served as the Vice President of the corporation since 2020, following the passing of his grandfather, Larry D. Morrison. Matthew was married in 2010 and has been blessed with two sons. He is a member of Two Cities Church in Winston Salem. Matthew is an Eagle Scout and enjoys being in the outdoors with his family.

Hali was born September 28, 1991 to Shelby Reaves Temple and Mike Cheek. She graduated from Eastern Alamance High School where she enjoyed being a cheerleader and being part of the traveling competition cheerleading squads.
She was born to Kathy Ann & Elbert Virgil Robinson on October 9, 1977. She loved her family and was there whenever someone needed her. She will be missed by all that she impacted during her time here.
Mr. Morrison had a passion for the great outdoors and was an avid hunter. He was the first Hunter Safety instructor in Davidson County. His greatest enjoyment was spending time at his farm with his family.
Jason will be remembered as a loving father, papa, son, brother, and grandson. Jason enjoyed watching football and basketball with friends and family especially Duke and the Dallas Cowboys. He was born August 8, 1967 in Davie County to James Morrison Broadway and Nettie Daywalt Blevins. Jason Carl Brinkley, 44, of Durham, passed away at home on November 18th, 2022. Jason was born on January 31,1978 in Durham, North Carolina.
Virgil Rupert Kiger, 82, of Lexington, died on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at his home, surrounded by his family and friends. He was born July 11, 1940, in Forsyth County, North Carolina, to Everette Lee Kiger and Mona Lawson Kiger. Virgil was preceded in death by his parents, sister Minnie Sue Peddycord and his late wife Francess Summey Kiger. Mr. Kiger leaves behind, one son, Virgil Eugene Kiger and his wife Donna, two daughters, Teena Kiger-Smith and her husband Brad, step-daughter... Larry D. Morrison formerly served as President of Piedmont Funeral Home, Inc until his passing in 2020. He began his career in funeral service as a teenager at Piedmont Funeral Home in Lexington, as an ambulance attendant.
In addition to her work as a corporate officer and funeral director, she serves as the unofficial decorator for the funeral homes. Joan lives with her husband Jack in Denton and has served on numerous civic boards. She is an active member of Central United Methodist Church. He is a 1996 graduate of Wake Forest University with a degree in Business Administration and graduated with honors from Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service in 1997.

Connie Sue Payne 64, of Lexington, NC, went home to be with the Lord on December 1, 2022. Connie was born September 26,1958, the daughter of the late Coy James Asbury Sr. and Shelby Jean Asbury.

Governor Bev Perdue appointed Dan as one of three members of the North Carolina Alcoholic Beverage Control Commission, where he served until 2013. He has served on the Lexington City School Board and is a former Chairman of the Lexington Area Chamber of Commerce, serving on its Board of Directors for nine years. He also served on the board of directors for Uptown Lexington and Wake Forest Baptist Health-Lexington Medical Center.
