In addition to serving families, Matthew has served as the Vice President of the corporation since 2020, following the passing of his grandfather, Larry D. Morrison. Mr. Morrison had a passion for the great outdoors and was an avid hunter. He was the first Hunter Safety instructor in Davidson County. His greatest enjoyment was spending time at his farm with his family.

Virgil Rupert Kiger, 82, of Lexington, died on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at his home, surrounded by his family and friends. He was born July 11, 1940, in Forsyth County, North Carolina, to Everette Lee Kiger and Mona Lawson Kiger. Virgil was preceded in death by his parents, sister Minnie Sue Peddycord and his late wife Francess Summey Kiger. Mr. Kiger leaves behind, one son, Virgil Eugene Kiger and his wife Donna, two daughters, Teena Kiger-Smith and her husband Brad, step-daughter... Larry D. Morrison formerly served as President of Piedmont Funeral Home, Inc until his passing in 2020. He began his career in funeral service as a teenager at Piedmont Funeral Home in Lexington, as an ambulance attendant.
In addition to her work as a corporate officer and funeral director, she serves as the unofficial decorator for the funeral homes. Joan lives with her husband Jack in Denton and has served on numerous civic boards. She is an active member of Central United Methodist Church. He is a 1996 graduate of Wake Forest University with a degree in Business Administration and graduated with honors from Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service in 1997.
